Writer's Block: Time after time
If you fall in love with a book or movie, do you tend to watch/read it again and again? If so, what's your upper limit on repeats?

Wow, this question was blatently made for me.

The short answer: yes. Yes I do.

The long answer: If I really, really love something, there is absolutely no limits on how many times I've watched it. I fell in love with the Doctor Who episode The Girl in the Fireplace in May 2006 and by the end of that summer had watched it nearly 40 times (As is evidenced by my Steven Moffat autograph, oh yeah. I've also read all of Jasper Fforde's books at least 6-7 times (except for Shades of Gray, which I just can't get into).

However, nothing compares to my History Boys Obsession.

This first started in early 2008, when aquirkofmatter came to stay and made me watch it. I fell in love, and bought the DVD.

It quickly became a comfort DVD, and during my PGCE year (Academic Year 2008-2009) I watched it pretty much every night without fail; I once watched it 3 times a day. I'm better with my obsession now, but I still watch it at least once a month. I estimate I've seen it around about 200 times. Which is a HELL of a lot of my life, really

Shades gets better, I promise! I do know what you mean, though.
